Problem: A Dropped Hem
Solution:
Double-sided tape works wonders for a dropped hem. Simply cut a piece of tape to fit the area where the hem has fallen and press the fallen hem back in line with the rest of the garment. If you don’t have any double-sided tape you can simply make a loop out of regular tape and use this to fix the problem.
Double-sided tape also works wonders for holding any gaps between shirt buttons closed, and can save you from some embarrassment on that account.
Problem: Deodorant On Your Clothes
Solution:
The fix for this is in your bathroom: a terry cloth towel will remove any deodorant traces from even the darkest clothing. Rub the terry cloth against the deodorant stain and it will be lifted off of your clothing very easily. No need to invest in any of those little sponges and other gadgets they sell to remove deodorant from clothes!
Problem: A Backless or Very Low Cut Dress and No Backless Bra in Sight
Solution:
Go into your garage and get out the duct tape! Yes, you can use regular old duct tape to manufacture your very own single use backless or plunge bra. Cut a section of duct tape to fit under your breast and up along its outer (armpit) side. The key to this is to measure enough to adequately support your breast without allowing it to sag: the tape running up along the side of your breast should be taut enough to lift up your breast and help to stabilize it.
After you’ve cut your tape, press it lightly on a towel before applying it to your skin. This will remove just enough of the adhesive to make removing the tape later painless. Then apply the tape to your breast, starting under your breast and then gently lift the breast up as you press the tape along the side.
Repeat on the other side, and use more tape as needed to give you a level of support you’re comfortable with, just remember not to tape over your nipple, which is too delicate to be covered with duct tape.
