For all of the following questions, write down which ones best describe the concerns you have with your skin.

1.) My skin usually feels tight if I don’t apply a moisturizer, and sometimes does even if I use a moisturizer.

2.) My skin often flakes and peels.

3.) I do tend to have a problem with skin blemishes-either pimples or blackheads, and sometimes both.

4.) My face usually gets shiny during the day, especially around my forehead, chin, and nose.

5.) Parts of my face seem dry, but others seem greasy.

6.) Depending on the season or other factors, my skin gets more oily and at other times more dry.

7.) My skin generally doesn’t seem oily or dry, somewhere in the middle.

8.) I usually don’t have to pay much attention to my skin to keep it looking nice.

9.) My skin has been getting drier and more wrinkle-prone recently.

10.) My skin doesn’t seem to be as elastic or as naturally good-looking as it was a few years ago.

If statements 1 & 2 best describe your skin, your skin type is dry.

If statements 3 & 4 best describe your skin, your skin type is oily.

If statements 5 & 6 best describe your skin, your skin type is combination.

If statements 7 & 8 best describe your skin, your skin type is balanced.
